West African Textiles and Costumes; featuring Adire indigo-dyed fabrics made by the Yoruba people of Nigeria. A photographic exhibition highlights early and recent traditional costumes worn by Nigerians locally and on the streets of London today.

Crosscurrents: The London Guild of Weavers Spinners and Dyers Biennial Exhibition. The London Guild was founded 50 years ago and has 180 members. A wealth of textiles will be on display and for sale.

The Silk Industry Museum - Park Lane, Macclesfield

Secret Life of Textiles: Historic silk patterns selected from 1000's of old pattern books, which offer an extraordinary insight into the region's silk industry. There will also be similar exhibits from 5 other museums and libraries in the North West of England. It will show what went on behind the scenes using pattern books, original designs and documents which have remained hidden for decades.
